At this year's Geneva Auto Show Volkswagen decided to present all cars already at the "Konzernabend" (corporate evening) in Vervier a suburb of Geneva. The event was accompanied by important news, as Volkswagen finalized its entrance into Scania with taking over another 30 % of the stake giving it the majority of 68% of the Swedish truck manufacturer. Prof. Winterkorn named it the ninth brand of the group. At the same day the way for the Porsche take-over was cleared.
