The World's First Passenger Priority Truck

Dodge Maxx Concept

DaimlerChrysler will unveil the Dodge MAXXcab concept truck, the world's first Passenger Priority truck, Sunday, January 9, 12 noon at the Chrysler stand at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Dodge MAXXcab is a true pickup truck -- but one with cab-forward design and sedan-like ride, handling, space, comfort and luxury. "Just as cab-forward changed the architecture of our passenger cars, Passenger Priority design might influence an entire vehicle line," said Tom Gale, Executive Vice President Product Development and Design.

The quintessential Chrysler, this concept combines contemporary design, elegance, luxury and legendary Hemi-power. "This vehicle explores a direction we might take if we were to return to an all-American V-8, rear-wheel drive luxury performance car such as the famed '57 Chrysler 300 C convertible," said Tom Gale, Executive Vice President Product Development and Design.

DODGE VIPER GTS/R Concept Car

Race-Bred Concept Leaves Competition Hissing

DaimlerChrysler will unveil the Dodge Viper GTS/R concept car, Sunday, January 9, 12 noon at the Chrysler stand at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Dodge Viper GTS/R is a street-legal, LeMans endurance race-inspired concept. "We have dominated the FIA GT2-Championship with Viper GTS-R since 1997," said Tom Gale, Executive Vice President Product Development and Design. "But we won't rest on our laurels, and the Dodge Viper GTS/R concept shows the potential we have."

Big show, introducing the Dodge Viper GTS/R concept at NAIAS 2000.  Lots of smoke, noise and vibrations!
