Renault Be-Bop Concept

. |
Renault Design unveils
Be Bop and
Be Bop at the
2003 Frankfurt Motor Show. Two
interpretations of the compact MPV theme, one is an
all-terrain SUV and the other a
sporting model under the Renault Sport brand.
Be
Bop and Be
Bop combine rounded
forms with structured lines for greater
aerodynamic efficiency. Exceptional visibility
and unique brightness characterize the cabin
space, which can be configured in
multiple ways to best suit occupants. The interior
features numerous innovations,
while the ergonomic Touch Design controls are
intuitive. |

Megane II Sports Tourer

|
.
The Mégane Sport Tourer enjoys strong
potential in Europe, which is expected to account
for most of its sales. The biggest markets should
be Germany and
Italy, where nearly half of all C-segment estate cars
are sold in Europe. The Mégane Sport Tourer will also
come with a full range of high-performing diesel
engines – a real plus in this vehicle segment where
diesel units are especially popular.

.
Megane II Saloon

. |
With the
introduction of the estate and saloon versions of New Mégane, Renault
will have unveiled six distinct body styles of a programme which
comprises seven in total.
In less than
a year, the Hatch, Sport Hatch, Coupé-Cabriolet and New
Scénic have been launched, and are now joined by these two new
models.
Confirming the coherence of the New Mégane range, the Sport Tourer and
Sport Saloon will allow Renault to broaden its
customer base in the C segment and increase its
sales internationally. |

Nissan Dunehawk Concept

. |
.
Nissan will underline its leading role in Europe’s growing
4x4 market at the 2003 Frankfurt Motor Show in September. Among the star
attractions will be a bold concept car, called Dunehawk, which hints at
a future SUV direction for Nissan.
Dunehawk is
a vision of how a Nissan 4x4 of tomorrow could look. With a bold and
intelligent design, advanced technology and innovative combination of
SUV and MPV, the Dunehawk is a mid-sized 4x4 aimed at meeting the
emerging needs of the active family of tomorrow. Equipped with a second
generation of Nissan's ALL MODE 4x4 system - first seen on the X-TRAIL,
the Dunehawk combines genuine off-roading ability with no compromise in
on-road performance. |
Nissan: Fuel Cell powered X-Trail
 |
.
For the first time in Europe Nissan is also showcasing its future
technologies. A fuel cell powered X-TRAIL prototype will be displayed,
fresh from the completion of its road test programme. Being 100%
environmentally friendly with zero emissions, Fuel Cell technology is
widely tipped to be key to the future of personal transport. Nissan’s
pioneering vehicle will form the basis of a FCV which will go into test
production this year.

Nissan 350Z
 |
.
The Frankfurt motor show will also mark the official start
of European sales for the mighty Nissan 350Z, a totally focused two
seater which incorporates chassis technology developed on the race
track.
The potent 3.5-litre V6 engine develops 206kW (280 PS)
and is mounted behind the front axle to provide the optimum static front
to rear weight distribution. Drive is to the rear wheels. It gives the
350Z a top speed electronically limited to 250km/h (155 mph) while the
0-100km/h (0-62 mph) sprint takes less than 6 seconds.
