New Golf

.
. |
.
The Golf, the most successful German automobile ever, with
over 22 million units built so far, debuts in the autumn of 2003 in its
fifth generation. The design and technology of the Golf, which is
available in two and four-door models, are more confident and dynamic than
ever before, and represent, therefore, the largest evolutionary step since
the model series came into being.
Even at first glance, the
newcomer can unmistakably be recognized as the original in its class - as
the Golf. The design, however, with its characteristic C-pillar, the
powerfully-built body rear end, the pronounced sporting character of the
body front end and the muscular, rakish silhouette displays confident, new
dynamics.

Polo Fun
.
|
.
Volkswagen is expanding the
range of the successful compact car with a second new Polo model with a
very attractive, lifestyle-oriented model which will make a clear
statement in this segment - the Polo Fun. The four-door "Fun" is
differentiated in particular via its special bumpers and a chrome-coloured
roof-railing as well as the individual colours and a 20 mm higher
suspension.
The dynamic appearance of the
vehicle is further underlined by the stylish 17" alloy wheels with
sporty low-profile 215/40 ZR 17 tyres. Specially designed materials,
sports seats and other details in the interior guarantee driving
enjoyment. The Polo Fun will be on offer with four petrol engines from
40 kW / 55 bhp to 74 kW / 100 bhp - including an FSI engine - as well
two diesel engines with 55 kW / 75 bhp and 74 kW / 100 bhp.

Concept R
.

|
.
The design team, led by Murat Günak (Volkswagen Brand
Group) and Peter Schreyer (Volkswagen Brand), shows with the roadster
concept R how a sports car packed with aesthetics and emotion could look
in the foreseeable future with the internationally successful "VW"
label. The 4.16 metre long, 1.78 metre wide and just 1.25 metre high
two-seater has a convincingly powerful body and an interior that
conquers virgin territory in terms of style in every detail.
The roadster prototype concept R. The great sharpness in
design, seen from every angle, combined with outstanding functional
solutions indicates what the Brand has in store for the future and also
a possible involvement in the world of real and genuine sports cars.
Propulsion for the concept R comes from a V6 mid-engine; It returns 195
kW / 265 brake horse power and accelerates the roadster in 5.3 seconds
to 100 km/h. If the propelling power was not governed to 250 km/h, in
theory, the top speed would be 270 km/h. The engine torque (350 Newton
metres at 2,800 rpm) is transferred to the road via a spectacular
Volkswagen direct selection gearbox (DSG / 6-speed) and rear axle.

Polo Saloon
.

'.
|
A new
addition to the Polo range is the four-door model as a notchback saloon.
The vehicle has a very homogenous appearance as the fully-galvanised
body was developed completely independently as of the B-pillar. The line
of the windows at the side rises slightly to the rear, thus emphasising
the dynamic appearance.
The increase
in length of 28 cm in comparison to the hatchback version is a bonus for
the rear passengers and the 432 litre luggage compartment. The Polo
saloon will be on sale as of the Autumn with two different equipment
scopes and four engines - two diesel engines with 47 kW and 55 kW, as
well as two petrol engines with 55 kW and 74 kW. |

Phaeton Long Wheel Base
.

.
|
.
The Phaeton with a long wheelbase offers increased levels
of comfort with considerably more space. The distance between the wheels
has been increased by 120 mm. This increase provides more legroom for
the rear passengers.
The longer
version of the Phaeton also has a comprehensive range of standard
fittings such as the leather equipment package "Vienna", glass sunroof,
rear operating unit for the air conditioning, as well as sunblinds for
the rear window (electric) and the rear side windows. The long Phaeton
model is on offer with the new V8 engine, the W12 and the V10 TDI.

Audi A3

.
|
There are
likewise two new versions of the A3 that are making their first public
appearance at Frankfurt: the sporty 3.2 quattro (250 bhp) top-end model
with the innovative Direct Shift Gearbox DSG, and the A3 1.6 FSI. The
latter is equipped with a 115 bhp four-cylinder engine with petrol
direct injection. The strengths of the FSI direct injection concept
include agility as well as fuel consumption. |
.
Audi A2 Color.

.
|
The range of
engines for the A2 is now rounded off by a new top-end TDI: the
1.4-litre three-cylinder version will also be available with an output
of 90 bhp and 230 Newton-metres of torque in the future. The front end
of the new model, along with the other versions of the A2, has been
visually modified: the central service flap between the headlights now
has a lattice structure, giving the A2's face a visually distinctive new
look. |

Seat Altea Concept
.

.
|
Defining the next stage in SEAT's ongoing design
evolution, the Altea Prototype showcases unconventional Design in a
road-eating package of Extrovert Sportiness and Athletic Technique.
This new masterpiece of
Walter de Silva, Seat's chief designer indicates Seats route towards a
serious Golf competitor. We recognize, that this is called a prototype
instead of a concept.
As a first example of SEAT driven synergies within the
Audi brand group, the inspired new model is the final step before an
exhilarating production car hits the streets. The SEAT Altea production
model is just a breath away. |
