The Audi A8 longwheel version
Audi is building on the A8 success story. With this long-wheelbase version, Audi
introduces a luxurious Audi A8 with more to love. At its 2000 launch, it will be available
with a powerful 4.2 liter five-valve V8 engine and quattro all-wheel drive.

With its advanced technology, exclusive interior, comprehensive standard equipment and
generous amount of space in the rear seat area, the Audi A8 long-wheelbase model is an
ideal form of luxurious, elegant long-distance passenger transport.
The Audi A8 Long-wheelbase version extends the A8 wheelbase by 5.1 inches. With its
clear, extended lines, the long-wheelbase design is well proportioned and
powerful-looking. In fact, extremely high tolerance levels and detailed craftsmanship
combine to capture the elegance you expect from an Audi. The rear doors blend harmoniously
into the dynamic side line.
As a result, getting in and out of the car is much easier. Rear passengers also benefit
from additional leg, head, shoulder and elbow room.
The Audi A8 long-wheelbase version has standard Valcona leather upholstery. The Valcona
leather is noted for its smooth feel and high degree of moisture permeability. Passengers
enjoy an optimum seat climate wherever they are sitting. Standard front and rear seat
heating is another luxury feature.
The Alcantara package includes the rear shelf trim, the interior roof posts and the
headliner, including the sun visors. The "Comfort" seat package is a standard
feature of the A8 long-wheelbase version. The more pronounced contours of the more softly
upholstered seats offer rear seat passengers the finest in seating comfort.
The Audi A8 long-wheelbase model will initially be offered with a powerful 4.2-liter V8
five-valve engine and quattro drive. Standard equipment for the long-wheelbase A8 includes
the Electronic Stability Program (ESP).
The A8 long-wheelbase model will be available in the US in 2000.
