With the Cayenne -- Porsche's third model line -- the company will introduce its Porsche Traction Management (PTM) permanent four-wheel drive system, a pneumatic suspension system with a self-leveling feature and six adjustable ride height positions, and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), which is an electronically variable damping system that stabilizes body sway during sudden gas or brake pedal applications or when driving on rough terrain. These systems work together to ensure the Cayenne offers an optimum blend of supreme on-pavement and equally outstanding off-pavement driving qualities.

  • Renault Ellypse

The Ellypse concept car illustrates Renault 's commitment to sustainable development through its environmentally-friendly design: its architecture favours easy removal and recycling of components at the end of the car 's life-cycle, the new-generation diesel engine reduces fuel consumption and exhaust emissions (85g of CO2 /km), and it is equipped with advanced x-by-wire technology and 42-volt electrics.

Seat

  • Cordoba

SEAT will reveal the new generation of the Córdoba on September 26, at the Paris Motor Show. The new Córdoba is the latest model to adopt the new SEAT family look, first seen on the new Ibiza, and is due on sale towards the end of the year.

Sportiness and versatility go hand in hand in the new Córdoba. Roomier than its predecessor, it retains its classic four door, sedan body configuration. The wheelbase has been increased by 17 mm and the width by 58 mm to create a larger interior while the boot has 30 litres greater luggage capacity.

Volkswagen

  • Volkswagen Touran

  • Volkswagen Touareg

Volkswagen will introduced its new Touareg top class off-road vehicle at the Paris Motor Show on September 26, 2002 - a world premiere for this model, which will reach the German market in November. The Touareg represents a new vehicle concept at the top end of the sport utility vehicle (SUV) scale. Unlike previous vehicles in this segment of the market, it combines the characteristics of a high-class off-road vehicle with the comfort and convenience of a luxury saloon car - and the dynamic attributes of a sports car.

The Volkswagen Touareg is being launched with either a 162 kW (220 bhp) V6 spark-ignition engine or a V10 TDI diesel developing 230 kW (313 bhp). Later, a five-cylinder TDI and a V8 spark-ignition engine, both new designs, will be available. All Touaregs are equipped with 4XMOTION permanent four-wheel drive and a six-speed gearbox (automatic transmission with the V10 TDI engine).
