BMW The 330xi makes its world debut at the New York
Auto Show signifying two important milestones. This marks the reintroduction of an
all-wheel-drive sedan to the BMW line-up and the introduction of the all-new 3.0 liter six
cylinder engine first seen in the X5 3.0i to the 3 Series line. New York will also be the
site of three North American debuts: an all-new M3 coupe; the Z9 gran turismo concept car;
and the 2001 7 Series.

LAND ROVER'S Special-Edition RANGE ROVERS And New DISCOVERY
SERIES II SD Five new Land Rover models will be showcased by the premier
sport-utility manufacturer at the 2000 New York International Auto Show.
Four of the vehicles are special, low-volume editions of Land Rover's flagship model,
Range Rover. And making its world debut is Discovery Series II SD-a new, tougher, more
affordable version of the much-lauded Discovery Series II. The SD represents a 2.5 percent
price reduction when compared to the previous entry-level Discovery Series II.

New GMC SUV
NEW YORK - The Big Apple is the setting for big news from GMC with the world-wide
introduction of the all-new 2001 Yukon Denali at the New York Auto Show. GMC's full-size,
upscale SUV is sure to impress attendees with unsurpassed levels of styling, improved
capabilities and premium features in a true professional-grade package. In addition to
Yukon Denali, GMC will make world-wide introductions of two additional vehicles, that when
combined with Denali, strengthen GMC's hold on the premium truck market and further
heighten GM's full-size truck leadership.

Toyota will Unveil All-New Highlander And RAV4 Sport
Utility Vehicles at New York Auto Show
The world premiere of the Toyota Highlander and the North American debut of the Toyota
RAV4 will be staged at a press conference at the New York Auto Show, Wednesday, April 19,
at the Jacob Javits Convention Center.
The Highlander and RAV4 are all-new four-door sport utility vehicles (SUV) based on
passenger-car platforms. The Highlander is mid-sized and will arrive in dealerships in
about a year. The compact second-generation RAV4 will go on sale this fall. RAV4 was the
industry's first car-based SUV when it was introduced in 1996. |
