BMW Earns Top Spot In National Web Site Survey Conducted By J.D. Power And Associates

Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey - The official Web site of BMW of North America LLC, is the Highest Ranked Automotive Web site in the J.D. Power and Associates 2001 Manufacturers Web Site Evaluation Study.

BMW's Web site scored particularly high for its ability to display information about options and features, and for the way it allows shoppers to calculate monthly payments at different interest rates. Information content, including data on vehicles such as price and specifications, accounted for nearly half of the site's overall score.

An estimated 87 percent of study respondents said that automotive manufacturers' Web sites were more useful than traditional brochures. Study respondents were Internet users who plan to purchase a new vehicle during the next two years.

"It is gratifying to know that BMW provides a relevant tool to assist in the vehicle selection process. This is an important first step in the BMW experience and one that we have designed to integrate well with the BMW dealership experience."
