Agila "Njoy" - New Design Edition Of Opel's Best-Selling Microvan Complete Agila range now with standard Active Head Restraints and side airbags Rüsselsheim - Europe's best-selling microvan, the Opel Agila, is now available in a special, top-of-the-range design edition called "Njoy". The stylish, well equipped Agila Njoy features a unique, two-tone paint finish in "Aztec Gold" and "Star Silver" with interior design cues to match. Details such as alloy wheels, chrome trim and aluminum decor on the central console add to the Agila Njoy's quality finish. This new top model in the Agila line-up targets younger customers and is powered by a lively 55 kW/75 hp 1.2-liter, 16V, ECOTEC engine. Setting new standards in its class, the Opel Agila is now the only microvan on the European market with Active Head Restraints on the front seats and side airbags for the driver and front passenger. These features complement the Agila's comprehensive safety package including a rigid passenger cell with side impact protection, driver's and front passenger's airbags and seat belt tensioners and force limiters at the front. In the event of a frontal collision, the pedals disengage automatically (Pedal Release System), thus reducing the risk of injury to the driver's feet and lower legs. ABS is also standard equipment from the "Comfort" level upwards. Active Head Restraints and Side Airbags for Improved Safety Now standard equipment, the Active Head Restraints on the Agila's front seats help to reduce the danger of whiplash injuries in a rear-end collision. This feature, already familiar in other Opel models, functions mechanically and is activated by the front seat occupants' upper body being pressed against the seat back. The head restraint then moves upwards and forwards to shorten the distance between the occupant's head and restraint. The head can thus be cushioned earlier as it moves backwards and the strain on the spinal column is considerably reduced. In side-on collisions, two side airbags integrated into the backrests provide additional protection for the front seat occupants. Agila Njoy: Design Edition Tops Opel's Microvan Range The new Agila "Njoy" is a real eye-catcher. As well as a prominent, two-color paint finish, there are color-coordinated "Elba" seat upholstery (orange) and "Aztec Gold" seat belts inside this stylish model. The seven-spoke, 14-inch alloy wheels, the chrome bar across the radiator grille and at the rear, special bumper trims and clear-glass headlamps are other striking features. The Agila Njoy can also be identified by the name badges on the C-post inlays and in the front seat fabric. The "Njoy" is equipped to the same level as the "Comfort" version of the Agila, with body-colored bumpers and outside mirror housings. In addition, the Agila Njoy comes with door and tailgate handles in body color, chrome-plated door lock buttons and a sporty exhaust tailpipe. A leather-covered steering wheel and leather gear lever knob, chrome-plated door handles, silver-colored instrument surrounds and aluminum trim on the center console create a sporting atmosphere in the interior. Opel's stylish newcomer is as practical as rest of the Agila range. The "Njoy" has a silver anodized roof rack, various storage compartments - near the front seats and in all side doors for example - and a net on the C-post. An additional equipment highlight is the high-end CDR 2005 stereo CD radio. All these are standard features, as are a revolution counter and foglights. As well as the "Aztec Gold" and "Star Silver" color combination on the Agila Njoy, there is the option of a one-color paint finish in "Star Silver" or "Sapphire Black". Other modifications in the Agila program concern the "Elegance" version, which now has a radiator grille with chrome trim and chrome-plated door handles inside and out, and the "Comfort" version which is now fitted with a leather gear lever knob.
