DaimlerChrysler to sell its remaining stake in Temic to Continental

Stuttgart - DaimlerChrysler is to sell its remaining 40% stake in Conti Temic microelectronic GmbH to Continental AG. The automobile manufacturer exercised its put option on its remaining stake in Conti Temic effective April 1, 2002.

Upon payment of the agreed price of € 215.3 million, to be received in the next few days, Continental will then be the sole owner of Temic, as was originally planned.

In April 2001, Continental first acquired a 60% stake and therefore assumed the management of the former TEMIC Telefunken microelectronic GmbH for a price of € 398 million.
