The 2006 Dodge Charger's active safety technology includes standard Electronic Stability Program (ESP), all-speed Traction Control System (TCS), and four-wheel Anti-lock Brake System (ABS). Those accident avoidance features are coupled with a host of passive safety equipment including Advance multistage driver and front passenger air bags, with Occupant Classification System (OCS) for controlled airbag deployment, constant force seat belt retractors, pretensioners, an energy-absorbing steering column, and optional side-curtain airbags. Starting with the Chrysler Pacifica in 2003, Chrysler Group has had a string of 10 product launches that produced NHTSA-rated five-star vehicles for frontal crash protection. These vehicles include: Chrysler Pacifica , Chrysler and Dodge minivans, Dodge Durango , Dodge Ram 1500, Dodge Ram Quad, Chrysler 300, Dodge Magnum, Dodge Dakota, Jeep® Grand Cherokee and Dodge Charger. The 2006 Dodge Charger is manufactured at the Brampton Assembly Plant in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. The 2006 Dodge Charger joins the award-winning Dodge Magnum and Chrysler 300 vehicles, which also are built in Brampton. (May 12, 2005)
