PSA Peugeot Citroen

|
With
its two broadline marques - Peugeot and Citroën - and a rich
automobile and industrial history, the Group has set three
objectives for the years ahead: 1) develop useful innovation focused
on protecting the environment, enhancing comfort and improving
safety; 2) increase sales, in part through stepped-up international
development; and 3) secure profitable growth to finance capital
investment from cash flow and remain independent.
In
2005, PSA Peugeot Citroën reported a 0.4 % increase in sales of
passenger cars and light commercial vehicles to 3,390,000 units,
representing a 5.4% share of the global market. Europe's second
largest carmaker with a 14.3% market share, the Group pursued its
international expansion, selling 1,030,000 vehicles (+ 8.4%) outside
Western Europe during the year.
|
In addition to car manufacturing, the Group
includes:
-
Faurecia, which manufactures automotive equipment, including
car seats, exhaust systems and other components. Faurecia is the
European leader and number two worldwide in most of its businesses.
-
Gefco, which furnishes
transportation and logistics services, ranking number two in France.
-
Banque PSA Finance, which federates
the Group’s finance companies.
-
Peugeot Motocycles, the third-largest
European manufacturer of scooters and motorcycles in the 50 to 125
cc range.
-
Peugeot Citroën Moteurs (PCM), which
sells engines and gearboxes to customers outside the Group.
-
Process Conception Ingénierie (PCI),
which designs and builds industrial equipment for the Group and
other global carmakers.
