Ignacio Beamud named New Managing Director of Mazda Automóviles España

Ignacio Beamud has been appointed new Managing Director of Mazda Automóviles Spain, S.A. Previously Marketing Director, Mr. Beamud assumes the position effective today with the goal of continuing the growth and consolidation of Mazda in Spain.

Born 37 years ago in Valladolid (Spain), Ignacio Beamud is licensed in Advertising and Public Relations by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and has a Masters Degree in Administration and Management and Marketing (ESIC). His career and wide experience in the automotive sector began in 1994 at Mercedes-Benz España, where he was responsible for Promotions and from 1998 as Chief of the Marketing Communication Department for Mercedes-Benz and Smart. In October 2002, he joined Mazda Automóviles España as Marketing Director, where he developed the positioning and consolidation of the brand image.

He also promoted the development and implementation of new processes that have helped to improve efficiency in the areas of Marketing Communication, Advertising, CRM, Sales Planning and Logistics. Ignacio Beamud replaces Jose María Terol, who was appointed new Regional Director of Mazda’s Southern European Region last April.

Mr. Terol will be in charge of several markets of Southern Europe. Mr. Terol is pleased at the appointment of his successor in Spain. "Nacho has demonstrated a great professional value and human quality. Therefore, I am sure that he will help to revitalize the growth that Mazda has experienced during the last six years".
