The DaimlerChrysler Board of
Management has appointed Rainer Genes, manager of
the Bremen production plant, as the new head of
Production Planning Mercedes-Benz Passenger Cars,
effective June 1, 2007. Rainer Genes will succeed
Simon Boag, who will be returning to Detroit, effective
June 1, 2007. “I would like to take this opportunity to
thank Simon Boag for his hard work and commitment over
the past 15 months, particularly in the ar-eas of
standard inspections and efficiency boosting”, says
Rainer Schmückle, COO of the Mercedes Car Group. |
Also on June 1, Peter Schabert,
currently the director of the Berlin production plant, will take
over the responsibility for the Bremen plant.
Thomas Uhr, at present head of
the Production and Technology Center “Casting and Metal Forming”
(PTU), will become the head of the Berlin plant on June 1.
