Honda to build new parts logistics centre in Barcelona to cover Southern Europe and North Africa regions

Honda announced plans to construct a new logistics centre in Santa Perpetua de Mogoda, Barcelona, Spain. The new facility, expected to be approximately 24,000 m2 will be located on part of the existing 86,000m2 Montesa Honda site, where currently the Spanish motorcycle sales subsidiary, the Honda Safety Institute and production plant are all located.

The new centre will store and process parts for Honda's car, motorcycle and power equipment businesses, serving Honda customers and dealers in Spain, Portugal, Southern France and North African countries. In addition, the centre will manage motorcycle logistics for the whole of southern Europe.

This new logistics centre will be operational from late 2013.
