Manufacturers : Central and South America

Central & South America is divided into only a few important regions. Mainly

• Brazil and

• Argentina

are are the areas with significant vehicle sales. There are no essential national manufacturers in these regions. But the development in these markets is extremely important. 

Of special interest is the development of the so called Mercosur, the South American conglomerate including Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay. Estimates count for 3 Mio cars in this area in 2000, which would position this market within the 5 biggest markets worldwide.
