Lexus Signs Automotive Advertising Deal With Edmunds.com SANTA MONICA, Calif. - Lexus has purchased a twelve-month advertising campaign on Edmunds.com, the web's leading consumer resource for unbiased automotive information. As a result of this ad buy, Lexus will be one of the first automakers to purchase conquest ads on its competitors' model-dedicated "index pages." "Edmunds.com's index pages provide new conquest opportunities, which have always been a major component of our interactive media plans," said a Lexus spokesperson. Edmunds.com advertising utilizes advanced technology that enables access to multiple screens within each ad unit, suitable for a variety of product and brand-building messages. Unlike traditional Web advertising, the message units respect the research process by eliminating the need for a "click out" that sends users to another site. Additionally, the non-intrusive units allow users to decide how much of the ad they'd like to see. Lexus ads will also appear in conjunction with Edmunds.com's vehicle comparison tables, which allow a visitor to select and compare vehicles of personal interest or on models that Edmunds.com has selected as competitive with each other. In addition, Edmunds.com will host Lexus advertising on its award-winning wireless Web site known as Edmunds2Go! As the only wireless automotive Web site in the United States, Edmunds2Go! offers unique advertising opportunities alongside the automotive reviews, photos, pricing and ratings information made available to wireless users.
