Chrysler Giving an All-New 2008 Chrysler Sebring Convertible to the Winner of the 2007 Ginn Open; Ride and Drive Program Will Raise Funds for Florida Storm Victims

For the second year in a row the winner of the Ginn Open will drive away in America's favorite convertible, courtesy of Chrysler. In addition, attendees of the LPGA event can raise money for the Red Cross and the Florida Children's Hospital each time they test drive a Chrysler vehicle during the tournament, being held at the Ginn Reunion Resort, in Reunion, Fla., April 9-15. Chrysler, which is one of the founding sponsors of the Ginn Open and is its official automotive sponsor, is giving an all-new 2008 Chrysler Sebring Convertible to the tournament's winner.

“The all-new Chrysler Sebring Convertible is now better than ever,” said Dave Rooney, Director – Chrysler Marketing and Global Communications. “It offers the unprecedented combination of unmistakable road presence, athletic handling and innovative technologies, as well as plenty of room for people and gear. In fact, the all-new Sebring Convertible is the only retractable hard top in the segment that can pass the two-golf-bag test.”

The donations to the Red Cross and Florida Children's Hospital will help them provide assistance to the residents of Lady Lake, Fla. The area was hit by severe storms and tornadoes in February that killed 21 people and destroyed hundreds of homes. Chrysler is donating $5 on behalf of each person who test drives a Chrysler vehicle during the Ginn Open. Test drives are open to all individuals with a valid driver's license and are 18 yrs or older. The test drive program will be open to the public April 12-15 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

About Chrysler and Golf

The Chrysler is a proud supporter of professional and amateur golf. The 2007 Bob Hope Chrysler Classic (BHCC), a pro-am event sanctioned by the PGA Tour, was held January 15-21, 2007 in Palm Springs, CA. Chrysler has supported the Classic since 1965 and been title sponsor since 1985, the longest sponsor/event association on the PGA TOUR and one of the longest in sports. Chrysler's sponsorship has enabled the Classic to distribute nearly $42 million to the Eisenhower Medical Center and a total of 112 local charities.

The Ginn Open is the third richest event on the LPGA. Chrysler has been the automotive sponsor of the Ginn Open since 2006. Chrysler is also the official automotive sponsor of the Merrill Lynch Shootout, Dec. 7-9 at the Tiburon Golf Course, in Naples, Fla. The Chrysler Club Championship (CCC) is the fastest growing, most prestigious amateur golf event in the country. Now in its fourth year, the CCC is a stroke-play event designed for top male and female amateur golfers. In 2007 the CCC expects to reach more than 1,200 clubs and more than 115,000 participants in the 48 continental United States. Golfers are competing this year for the title of CCC National Champion and a roster spot in the 2008 BHCC hosted by comedian George Lopez.
