The most striking difference from the established versions of the BMW 5 Series - also available in China - is the fact that the wheelbase is extended by 140 millimetres. The new models are powered by modern in-line 6-cylinder engines, whose output ranges from 130 kW/177 bhp in the BMW 523L to 160 kW/218 bhp in the BMW 525Li and 190 kW/258 bhp in the BMW 530Li. The BMW Hydrogen 7 will also be seen for the first time in China. The first hydrogen-powered luxury sedan designed for everyday traffic will provided a fascinating insight into the possibilities of individual mobility independent of fossil fuels and virtually free of emissions. The 12-cylinder engine of the BMW Hydrogen 7 can run on both hydrogen and conventional petrol and delivers an output of 191 kW/260 bhp regardless of the energy source used.
