CommentsIs there anybody at Ford that can contact me about a 3.8 liter ford engine that has faulty head gaskets besides the customer assistance people who give you nothing but the run around? I can't believe nobody at Ford has the guts to address this problem. How about it anybody?
CommentsI've been a Ford man all of my driving years,as my father before me. A year ago I purchased a 95 Tauras from a dealership as a previous Ford lease car. I have had nothing short of a headach since that day. I would appreciate talking with a representative concerning my vehicle and the possibility of odometer tampering before the sale to me. I say this due to the frequency and types of problems I've been expeariancing with this vehicle. To many Type and frequency for a vehicle that ?? has but 37,000 miles on it. Please contact me at your earliest convience. It would be appreciated Thankyou

CommentsDear Sirs: Please excuse me writing this letter, and possibly wasting your time. But I am curious about something that happened on the 11th of April when I went to Hub City Ford to look at a used car. I am a person in need of a cheap used car, and have been looking at used Honda, Toyota's, and such. A few years ago I went through a divorce then a bankrup., and as such, have had trouble finding a car in my price range from a dealer that would finance me. I happened upon an add for the Ford credit hotline, and decided to call and give you a try. I had not been looking at ford before, but decided to give it a try, having had a ranger xlt, a very nice truck, but also having lost it in the bankrup. The next day after calling the hot line, and giving the requested info. a salesman called and said he had a 88 ford escort with only 44k miles. I was a little leary of the escort, but with only 44k, decided to give it a try to see if I could get financed. I caught a taxi, $5 ride, looked at the car, looked clean, and asked the salesman if he could run the paper work to see if I could get financed. He said I had to give him $300 down for him to run the paperwork. I explained that I had not brought that much cash, I was only looking at the escort, but wanted to find out if I could qualify for a loan. He explained how difficult it was to get some people financed, requiring a lot of effort on his part. I asked if that was not part of his job? No it wasn't part of his job to "run the paper work, and have people change their minds after", the down payment showed "commitment", but I would get it back if something happened. I understand I was looking at a cheap used car, not as much commission for the salesman, but I got blocked from looking at anything on the lot because I couldn't give him a downpayment. I live in Lafayette La, and there are a number of dealers in town that offer financing for people like myself, and it seems that the salesman made my buying decision for me, as to the type of car and the location. I am not trying to get anyone in trouble, and for what I plan to spend on a car, you may spend that much in a weekend, but to me its a lot of money at this time, and very important, the taxi's get expensive, example $10 to go and come back from Hub City Ford, maybe a tip for some, $10 to some bills for me. Why would you have a credit hot line if customers cannot have access to it unless they pay hundreds of dollars to have a salesman do the paperwork. It may have seemed a waste of time to him, but I was considering the escort, but not now. Thank You Nickolas Humphries 134 Arizona St. Lafayette, La 70501 (318) 235-0998 CommentsIn September '98 I purchased a Windstar Minivan. It has been extremely useful in transporting my grandchildren. There is one feature I believe that would enhance the Windstar's usefulness. Since the liftgate is extremely heavy, it is difficult for short, older people to pull down. Would it possible for your engineers to look into the prospect of making the double doors (similar to the Suburban) on the back of the Windstar? That is the only feature I truly have a problem with. I would be interested to hear from you concerning this. Sincerely, Nancy J. McDonald 259 Pea Ridge Arena Rd Dubach, LA 71235 318-255-3519
CommentsI am attempting to contact the Human Resources Department at Ford to simply let them know that one of their outstanding dealers, Mr. Joe Drew, of Drew Ford, La Mesa, California, will be honored on Friday, April 16, at 7:30 PM at the 35th Annual Lakeside Rodeo. At that time, he will be rcognized for his outstanding long-term contributions to the Youth of Lakeside, CA, and the sport of Rodeo through his financial and services support. It is rumored that Mr. Drew has provided well over $60,000 throughout the years. The Lakeside Rodeo is a non-profit event, manned totally by unpaid volunteers, and administered by the El Capitan Stadium Association. Through this event, and the support of sponsors like Mr. Drew, we are able to donate well over $100,000.00 annually to youth education, sports and civic groups. We would appreciate it if anyone at Ford who receives this message would not speak to Mr. Drew until after April 16th regarding this honor since he will not be aware of this distinction until that night, but hope that they will include him in any publication after that date announcing his honor. He is an outstanding individual and Ford Dealer! Sincerely, Kate Cunningham Advertising/Marketing Lakeside Rodeo 619-561-2809

CommentsJust purchased a 1999 Ford Explorer Sport with the Premium Sport package, (it is fully optioned). The SUV sits 2 inches too low in the rear susepnsion on the 1997-99 models. The Dodge Durango looks much more agressive with its angled suspension, the Ford Explorer Sport looks bottomed out in the rear even when loaded, worse when accelerating, and poor when loaded. Please forward this to Ford Corporate management for a solution. I do not enjoy paying $27,000 for a SUV that does not look agressive and or adequate. Otherwise, I love the truck! CommentsMy wife and I are owners of a 1994 Ford Escort of which she drives. Recently, I took the car to a garage for a tuneup and oil change. The day after the work was done my wife noticed a tap in the engine. She didn't pay it much mind at the time and continued to drive it. The next day she had a problem keeping the engine running; it kept stalling. So, she took the car to another garage where the mechanic pointed that the problem she was having was related to the recent tuneup and oil change. He suggested that we take the car back to the garage that did the tuneup and oil change and have them check their work. When I did, by this time the car had to be towed, the garage foreman explained that our problems were not related to anything that they had done to the car and that there is a "known" problem with the Ford Escort engine such as we had and that at the number of miles we had on the car, 110 thousand, the engine suddenly blows. The garage is A-Tech Automotive Inc. in Allentown, Pa. Please explain. When we bought the car the dealer explained that the engine is good for well into the hundred thousand mile range.
CommentsCan someone at Ford Motor Co.tell me if my 99 Expedition Eddie Bauer has an anti-theft system. I know it has a passive anti-theft system to protect the vehicle from being stolen by disabling the ignition.Does it have anti-theft to protect the contents inside from being stolen?Or do I have to spend even more money to buy a perimiter alarm system to protect my contents inside. P.S. There is nothing in the brochure pertaining to this matter, they just keep referring to passive anti-theft and it doesn`t answer my question.
CommentsI am trying to find a list of all dealers within a 300 mile radius of Baton Rouge, La. I tried your web page and the find a dealer by state did not work. I am interested in a Windstar for my family of 5 and am becoming very uninterested in a Ford. Help if you want to make a sale.
CommentsI am told that a 1971 Mercury Cobra 429 covertible that I own is one of a special limited edition that was made that year. The vehicle ID # is 1S94J533140. Is there someone at Ford that can confirm that there was a special limited edition produced that year and if so how many were produced? Many Thanks Chris Berryman
CommentsPeople! Please, if you plan on buying a ford, either from an Elway dealership or any other ford dealership please read the following and contact me for further info! I have tried to get satisfaction from both the dealer and Ford Customer service and haven't had any success. Now I'm stuck with a '97 Ford F-250 heavy duty that was apparently never aligned properly. and an 86 year old father that was apparently hustled by their service dept. And the outrageous part is the swine involved won't even respond. If you would like more detailed information before you spend money at a Ford dealership feel free to contact me and I'll send you a detailed history of events. Including my fruitless attempts at resolving this.
CommentsI bought a 1996 S-10 blazer new. The motor has had a sputter in it from day 1. Never fixed right, after fuel injectors, spark plugs, electrical short, a stack of different things. I am so sick of this thing I am ready to go to a Ford. Now its in the shop for the 3rd.time for the heater, It is off warrenty as its 3 years old but only has 30,000 miles. Do you know of anyone who wants a piece of low miles crap?
CommentsI think everyone should stop buying Ford after bragging about the 15 to 16 THOUSAND proffit they will make per truck on their new SUV 9 seater. No one should buy a Ford...............

CommentsI was delighted to see the newly designed T-Bird in the latest issue of Motor Trend. According to the article Ford has yet to decide whether to go to production with the car. My vote is a hardy YES, YES, YES. Everyone that I have shown the article is chomping at the bit to buy one. I, for one, would order that beautiful automobile today. In fact I am so counting on Ford going to production that I have decided to delay purchasing a new vehicle and wait patiently for the T-Bird.
CommentsI HAVE A 1988 FORD TAURUS AND I NEED TO KNOW WHERE I CAN FIND BULBS FOR THE ELECTRONIC/DIGITAL CLOCK. I HAVE GONE TO LOCAL DEALER AND HE DOES NOT CARRY THEM.

CommentsAs a mother of two and a person with not alot of money to spend I was in desperate need of a new car. I went to several other dealers before I went to Man O War Ford, in Lexington, Kentucky. I found a car I loved and that was affordable. A 5 Speed 1999 Ford Escort LX. I was ushered inside to make a "deal" When I would not respond with a bottom line on my trade in (1991 Mazada 626) another invidual was brought over to our table. He chose to ignore me and asked my husband (Greg) what we wanted for our car. I told the individual that I just wanted the bottom line on the price of everything. This car Dealer started yelling at us saying we were stubborn and other things. At this point we left. As we were leaving the salesman told me he would give us the Ford A Plan and I could have the car. By the time my husband and I were calm down enough I found myself driving by Paul Miller Ford in Lexington, KY. I drove in the parking lot asked to drove a 1999, 5 speed Ford Escort, LX. The individuals at Paul Miller Ford, Jeff Wilson, were very friendly and very helpful. I felt relaxed and throughly enjoyed buying my new car from them. You should be proud to have individuals in your employment like the individuals at Paul Miller Ford, Lexington, KY. I was treated with respect like any would should except at a car dealership. If it had not been for Jeff Wilson and the other individuals at Paul Miller Ford, Lexington, KY I probably would have bought a Saturn. I will probably look into buy my next car or truck from them. The individuals at Man O War should be "trained" on public relations. In discussing my situation with family, co-workers and friends I have discovered I am not the only individual that Man O War Ford has treated unfairly. In a happier note, I love my new car and it drives well and is a safe, affordable family car. Thank You for your time and attention to my letter. If you need any further assistance you have my email address.
CommentsI want to know if Ford Motor has a direct extended warranty and not through the dealership. I think it is to costly from them, any help?
CommentsI just recently purchased a Ford ranger 4x4 LTX. I really find the truck to be very well constructed and extremely a joy to drive. I believe it is the best truck I have ever driven. Paul F. Helfrick, Pittsburg, Ca.
CommentsTo whom it may concern: I am very upset with one of your certified ford dealers. I purchased a brand new Ford Escort on Feb.11. I was having problems with engine noise and idiling. I called my dealer and was treated extremely rudely. I am appauled. I can not believe you can condone anyone that sells your product to treat there customers in such a manner. I easily payed 15,000 in cash-the least I can get a little curtousy if I am not satisfied with the car. I hope we can resolve this. All I am looking for is to be treated like the valued customer I feel I am. I am looking to here from you as quickly as possible. The dealership is Fuller Ford, In Jersey City NJ. #201-866-6300. CommentsHi , I saw the career section of this web-page, and maybe I can be of some help to you. You said that the automotive industry is in grave need of Engineers. I finished to study, in Janaury, my career is Industrial Engineering and my speciality is Environmental Issues. The next month I'm goin to work in research for 2 or 3 months to the Technological University in Munchen. Then I'll stay there working, because I'm european citizen and I want to learn from development countries. I'd like to know what I have to do, because I would be extremely interested in working as an Intern, or as a full time Engineering Technologist. I like and I want to learn, and I am a hard worker. Any opportunity would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Alejandra Gonzalez.
