I would like to let the Co. know that this is our third Chrysler (Sebring Convertible 1997 VIN #3C3EL45X4VT550679, so it could be check that I am telling true) we are extremely disapointed with it, and afraid to get another Chrysler. The soon we rich 5,000.00 we have got several different repairs in the car, we were left in North Carolina, ir our trip from FL to MA without warning we stop the car to have lunch and did not start again, it had to be towed away, the radio went, the battery went beyond repair, the car is licking oil now, they have to change all the gaskets in other words the car is not reliable you can not take it anywhere, this car does not give you any warning it just stop and is always a different problem with it. Is there a solution for this? Coly C. Gomez

GM de Mexico, Ford de Mexico, Nissan Mexicana, and Volkswagen de Mexico should all follow the lead of Chrysler de Mexico. Chrysler de Mexico recently designed its own unique SUV, the 1999 RAM CHARGER, it is quite superb. These other companies would benefeit greatly from utilizing its local affiliates in Mexico for research and design as well. Quality in manufacturing has already been demonsrated to be being quite superb in Mexican plants. More regional planning and manufacturing would be justified, especially with more than 670,000 new vehicle sales in Mexico, and also Mexico serving as the "springboard" for Latin America and other markets, includying the United States.

DEAR CHRYSLER/DODGE DEALERS:

I AM COMMUNICATING WITH YOU URGENTLY BECAUSE I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE INVESTMENT I MADE IN BUYING A BRAND NEW 99 DODGE DAKOTA 4X2

PICKUP MODEL ANIL31, COLOR AMETHYST, SERIAL IB7GL22X2-WS713457. I ONLY HAVE HAD THIS CAR FOR ONE (1) MONTH AND I HAVE BEEN ON THE COMPANY´S SHOP FOR THREE (3) CONSECUTIVE TIMES AND FOR THE SAME REASON, AND EVERY TIME THE MECHANICS ASSURE ME THIS PROBLEM IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN AGAIN. THE PROBLEM THAT HAS EVEN ENDANGERED MY LIFE IS THAT WHILE I AM DRIVING IT, IT ACCELERATES BY ITSELF WITHOUT REASON, AND EVEN AT A COMPLETE STOP IT DOESN´T DESACCELARATE. I HAVE EVEN ARRIVED TO THE SHOP WITH THIS PROBLEM AFTER IT WAS HANDLED TO ME FOR THE THIRD TIME AFTER 30 KILOMETERS OF RUNNING THE CAR. I AM TIRED OF LISTENING FROM YOUR DEALERS IN HONDURAS THAT THE GUARANTEE WILL TAKE CARE OF IT. PLEASE UNDERSTAND MY DIFFICULT SITUATION THAT HAS TAKEN ME TO HAVE STRONG DOUBTS OF THE EFFICIENCY OF THAT VEHICLE SO THATS WHY I AM NOT WILLING TO ACCEPT THIS CAR AGAIN. I AM SURE THAT I DEALED WITH APRESTIGIOUS AND SERIOUS COMPANY AND THAT YOU WILL FIND THE BEST SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM SOON, SINCE THE DEALERS HERE HAVEN´T YET SOLVED IT.

BEST REGARDS;

When are you going to offer the 6-speed manual transmission for the Dodge Ram? I am sick and tired of getting a run around from the dealers. Why do you show an exhaust brake in you literature and then claim it will void your warrantie if you install one on the new Dodge Cummins engine for Dodge? Cummins claims it will not harm the engine. It sure would be nice to see some honest advertising for a change. Maybe Chrysler should proof read before they advertise. Also they may want to check there web page too. Any one have an honest answer to my questions?

Hi , I saw the career section of this web-page, and maybe I can be of some help to you. You said that the automotive industry is in grave need of Engineers. I finished to study, in Janaury, my career is Industrial Engineering and my speciality is Environmental Issues. The next month I'm goin to work in research for 2 or 3 months to the Technological University in Munchen. Then I'll stay there working, because I'm european citizen and I want to learn from development countries. I'd like to know what I have to do, because I would be extremely interested in working as an Intern, or as a full time Engineering Technologist. I like and I want to learn, and I am a hard worker. Any opportunity would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Alejandra Gonzalez.

i purchased a jeep sahara from Don Mealey in casselberry fl. in the 3 months i have had it the truck has been nothing but problems for me. i have missed work missed other prearranged appointments the salesman that sold the truck for me happens to be my next door neighbor. the problems started with me taking it into the shop for a "DETAIL" well this job scratched both rear wheel wells that cover my back tires. then it started stalling out. my neighbor asked if he could trade his demo for my truck and take the jeep in and have it checked out he brought it back to me that evening and said the service department could find nothing wrong with the jeep and he handed me a small can of spray paint to try and cover up the scratches on the car from the detailing. he then told me he owed myself another detailing. i tried taking it in to the dealership for the other detailing and he told me that i could not be helped on that evening because they were working on their new cars in the detailing unit because of a new car show in the area. on 1/12/99 a flight recorder was placed in my truck and for nearly 4 weeks there was not stalling. i was sure to tell the salesman on the first attempt to fix this problem that it was happening periodically. on 2/12/99 i tried to leave work and it stalled at least 5 or 6 times and had to be towed into the dealership. i was more than a little upset at this point because this was my third time in with the same problem. now when requesting work orders for the other 2 times it was brought in they so conveniently had no record of my salesman bringing it in for it to be looked at for stalling. i am in the process of retaining an attorney and checking with lemon laws proceedures i only have 3,200 miles on the truck and feel as though i have been inconvienced and lied to. the dishonesty and treatment along with the product has left a very bad taste in my mouth and i know i will be reluctant to by another chrysler product and it would certainly not be fr5om this dealership. By the way one of my co-workers is having similar problems with a dodge-chrysler stratus he's owned for 18 months.

I work at Cummins,my question is,we understand that there are rumors that Dodge is looking for another diesel engine company(Cat.) to supply their engines for the club cabs. Why? I feel that our engine is the best on the market for overall performance and quality! Cummins and Dodge ought to get together with the owners of these trucks and see what their opinions are. I own a 98 Caravan and after 50000 miles its starting to nickel and dime us to death! Talking about quality? We are thanful for Dodge but are tired of hearing how bad we are every time a rep. is in house, thank you for listening to the real workers side! Rob Hensley Team 3a CMEP,CUMMINS

I have a 96 Grand Cherokee, and I love my Jeep, when I trade it I would like to get another one. But, here is my complaint--- I have had my Jeep in the service department for minor things a total of approximately 12 times in two years. I have had 5 radios installed because they keep "eating" the tapes I try and play, and I finally asked for a CD player for free or at least at a very discounted price and they said the headquarters said they could not do that. I have also had to have the moldings replaced 3 times and the door locks replaced 3 times, I have an appointment on the 16th of this month to once again get a new radio and new door locks. My main complaint is that I so upset with the stereo situation, and I just want to get a CD player, I am tired of ruining my tapes, and paying to replace them. I love my Jeep, I love the way it looks and especially the way it drives. I get many compliments on it, but my weekly visits to the service department has me on a first name basis with the people who work there. If you could do anything to help me I would very much appreciate it. I plan to trade after 4 years, and I am now looking at the Dodge Durango, instead just so that I will not spend so much time with the service department. The guys that work there joke around and think I am having an "affair" with my service advisor because I am there so often. Please help, I would really rather stay with the Grand Cherokee. My home number is (712) 328-3169. I purchased it from Rhoden Auto Center in Council Bluffs, Iowa. They have records of how many times I have been in the service department. Thank you in advance. This will be interesting,in todays world I often wonder if anyone really cares. And in addition to that, dose anyone have the ability to correct these simple problems. This is my situation. I have a 96 Grand Voyger which I purchased new. My wife drives this vehicle, and has complained about the brakes making a noise for over a year. We had the oil changed and other repairs done at the dealer, to the tone of five times. Each time we would ask to have the brakes looked at be cause of this noise."COULD NOT DUPLICATE CUSTOMERS COMPLAINT", was the answer. After we no longer were covered under warranty,while having an oil change and the raido repaired for the fifth time, they told us that the brake pads where worn completely down and that the roaters needed to be replaced. It seemed fishy. Is it common to happen that fast? they say yes, all the time."If you look at the new cars on the lot you can see it already starting". Now here is the question. If it is indeed already starting when it is new,is there a point in between the time you purchase the vehicle and throwing away the roaters that we should be made aware of the situtation? We keeped asking!! Did they not care, or where they not able to do anything about it? Maybe Tom Stallkamp knows.

Tom will you let me know? Keith Klabunde

I just purchased a 1999 Chrysler product and it will be the last product I ever buy from Chrysler. The sales people didnt want to negotiate and I was pushed into the sale. A friend came in the very next day and got a much better deal. I have never had to play such pettie games.I never had such problems with GM or Ford. I must admit that I really feel cheated.
