Having always been a lover of General Motors especially the chevrolet division I was pleased to see an ad for a new Impala. I would like some info on this model sent to the address above or a number where I may get some info. I drove one of your new Malibu cars and was not very impressed with the comfort level of the interior, after a lengthy trip my back was quite fatigued. The design however was quite acceptable, enough power for the price tag.

In April 1994, we purchased a 1993 Chevrolet Lumina sedan which was supposedly only used as a demonstrator car by management at Mel Grata Chevrolet dealership in Hermitage, Pa. Since that time, we discovered that the brake system on it was flawed in design...the discovery cost us over $600.00 to replace the brakes and rotors. Within two years time...the brakes again went out to an amount in excess of $200.00...and this does not end the story. The "service engine soon" indicator light intermittently comes on. I wonder how much this will cost me...even though the dealer claims they couldn't find any problems. I refuse to buy any other vehicles through them, this is one of two that we purchased in good faith and then got taken advantage of. I can't in good conscience tell anyone I know to buy a GM product when I can't get the dealer to stand behind the ones they sell to me.

GM de Mexico, Ford de Mexico, Nissan Mexicana, and Volkswagen de Mexico should all follow the lead of Chrysler de Mexico. Chrysler de Mexico recently designed its own unique SUV, the 1999 RAM CHARGER, it is quite superb. These other companies would benefeit greatly from utilizing its local affiliates in Mexico for research and design as well. Quality in manufacturing has already been demonsrated to be being quite superb in Mexican plants. More regional planning and manufacturing would be justified, especially with more than 670,000 new vehicle sales in Mexico, and also Mexico serving as the "springboard" for Latin America and other markets, includying the United States.

We recently purchased a 1998 Buick Century. Our trade-in was a 1991 Park Ave. We loved the Park Ave., but no longer needed such a large car so we got the Century. We have a problem with the design of the windshield wipers. When it snows they always freeze up and will not thaw out even if the car is stiffling hot on defrost. This is a dangerous situation, as it makes it very hard to see out the front windshield. It actually makes it worse at times. Is there a way to correct this? This is the first car we ever had with this problem.

Dear GM Management:

I would like to register a concern I have regarding service (or lack of) from one of your dealerships in the Memphis Area. I purchased a Corsica and had it in for a problem before the warranty was up. They were to order a part and call me when it came in. I have been in contact with the dealership and on their paperwork it showed no part being ordered. I faxed a copy of my receipt which stated the part was on order. They were to get back to me and that was over three months ago. I have called a few times and left message on voice mail. No response as of yet. I would like this problem taken care of and would appreciate any advise you could give me. Please feel free to contact me and I will tell you the name of the dealership.

Thanking you in advance for your cooperation in this matter.

The pinion gear in my '88 GM S-15 lost two teeth and cost $1,470.00 to repair by a Chevy dealer. I am the original owner. Should not GM assume liability for the repair considering that the premature failure was caused by a defective part?

When are you going to offer the 6-speed manual transmission for the Dodge Ram? I am sick and tired of getting a run around from the dealers. Why do you show an exhaust brake in you literature and then claim it will void your warrantie if you install one on the new Dodge Cummins engine for Dodge? Cummins claims it will not harm the engine. It sure would be nice to see some honest advertising for a change. Maybe Chrysler should proof read before they advertise. Also they may want to check there web page too. Any one have an honest answer to my questions?

I would like to ask chairman John Smith why an employee of G.M. cannot buy a Corvette under the option one program. We can buy everything G.M. sells but not a Corvette. I have been waiting to get one since they started to build the C-5 model. It's a sad day when G.M. limits it's employees' choice of new vehicle buying. This make us take a look at the new vehicles that other manufactures build and possibily buy one of their products.

Hello!

This is not a question, but an offering.

We’ve got an Opel Kapitan, 1939, perfect condition, no details changed. Black Cabrio. There are just a few such autos in the world. And what is more, it’s of great historical value. It was used by I. Stalin and his secretary Poskrebishev during 1940-1950 in the USSR. It's in Russia now.

If you have a museum an it's interested it this automobile, mail me (Deutsch oder English).

All details and photos will be sent.

Best regards, Mikhail M. Pitskhelauri

I have a 95 Lumina mini van with a 3.1 throttle body F.I. The vehicle tends to "Buck" between approx. 50-70 Kph when you are maintaining speed. While accelerating or coast the Bucking is not apparent. I understand that this is not something new for GM. I have already checked the MAP sensor, Throttle position sensor, EGR valve, and have changed the fuel pump.

Please advise as to a solution for this problem.

P.S. Your prompt response will be greatly appreciated.

Regards, Russ

I work at Cummins,my question is,we understand that there are rumors that Dodge is looking for another diesel engine company(Cat.) to supply their engines for the club cabs. Why? I feel that our engine is the best on the market for overall performance and quality! Cummins and Dodge ought to get together with the owners of these trucks and see what their opinions are. I own a 98 Caravan and after 50000 miles its starting to nickel and dime us to death! Talking about quality? We are thanful for Dodge but are tired of hearing how bad we are every time a rep. is in house, thank you for listening to the real workers side! Rob Hensley Team 3a CMEP,CUMMINS
