Lexus to Show the All-New GS Sedan and RX 400h Luxury Hybrid SUV at the Chicago Auto Show

Torrance, CA - Lexus will display its third generation GS series luxury sport sedan and the world's first luxury hybrid SUV, the RX 400h, at the Chicago Auto Show. Both vehicles make their world premier early this year. The all-new more powerful GS will showcase the industry's most advanced technology and offer a glimpse of a new direction in Lexus styling. The RX 400h is a hybrid version of Lexus' popular RX 330 luxury SUV. The breakthrough hybrid gas-electric powertrain will add a new, powerful performance dimension to the traditional hybrid advantages of high fuel mileage and low emissions.

The Lexus IS 430 project car will also make an appearance in Chicago. Lexus commissioned Rod Millen Special Vehicles to build the car in order to demonstrate the performance potential of the IS 300 luxury sport sedan. The IS 430 uses a 4.3-liter V8 engine and 6-speed transmission along with complementary modifications to handle the greatly increased performance.
