The old Budd plant, Berlin/Germany

In history stamping was a noisy and effort taking business. Today it is still noisy, but automated to a high extend. Even transfer presses are whispering compared to the old times at Budd in the 20´s.

This the old Budd press shop dating back to the 20´s. It is basically the parent company of of Budd in Michigan. lately bought by Thyssen, Germany. The plant was located in Berlin-Johannisthal and it produced cars parts and a lot of press parts for other applications.
