Mercedes-Benz brand spokesman Göpfarth to join Board of Management on August 1, 2007

The appointment of Michael Göpfarth, 40, to the Board of Management of EvoBus GmbH as of August 1, 2007, was confirmed today by the EvoBus GmbH Supervisory Board. Göpfarth has been responsible for all sales operations involving the Mercedes-Benz brand at EvoBus GmbH since March 2007.

Göpfarth began his career at the DaimlerChrysler Group in the early 1990s at the then brand-new passenger vehicle assembly plant in Rastatt. After several appointments in the areas of human resources and auditing, as well as an assistantship on the Commercial Vehicles management team, he became the managing director of Minibus GmbH and then, in May 2004, took charge of Corporate Strategy Commercial Vehicles.

As a new member of the Board of Management, Göpfarth will be joining Werner Staib, brand spokesman for Setra Buses and also a board member, on the sales management team led by Holger Suffel, who has overall responsibility for sales at EvoBus GmbH and DaimlerChrysler Buses.

DaimlerChrysler's global bus activities - with the brands Mercedes-Benz, Setra, and Orion - are combined in the DaimlerChrysler Buses unit. DaimlerChrysler is the world market leader for buses over eight tons GVW. The Group sold a total of 36,200 chassis and complete buses last year. EvoBus GmbH is a wholly owned subsidiary of the DaimlerChrysler Group.
