Richard Conrad Returns To General Motors' Arlington Plant, Jamie Hresko Promoted To Orion Township Assembly Plant Manager

Warren, Mich. - General Motors Corp. announced leadership changes at its Arlington, Texas and Orion Township, Mich. vehicle assembly plants, effective immediately.

Richard Conrad, currently the plant manager of Orion Assembly has been appointed plant manager at the Arlington truck assembly plant. He assumes the position from Mike Quinton, who has been appointed to the position of Quality Process Guardian for GM's Global Manufacturing System. Arlington builds the award-winning Chevy Tahoe, GMC Yukon and Cadillac Escalade full-size SUVs.

Conrad joined GM in 1966 at Arlington as a student at Kettering University, formerly General Motors Institute. Conrad has served in a variety of leadership roles including general superintendent of production at the GM Van Nuys, Calif. plant; vice president of production at CAMI, GM's joint venture with Suzuki in Ingersoll, Ontario; plant manager of the Ste. Therese, Canada and Buick City, Flint, Mich. assembly plants. Conrad holds a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from Kettering University.

Jamie Hresko, assistant plant manager of Lansing Car Assembly in Lansing, Mich. has been promoted to plant manager of Orion Assembly. Orion builds the Pontiac Bonneville, Olds Aurora, Buick Park Avenue and Buick LeSabre.

Hresko began his GM career in 1982 as a college co-op at Buick City. Hresko has progressed through several manufacturing positions including area manager of body and general assembly at Orion Assembly. He attended the Stanford University Sloan Fellowship development program and studied at NUMMI, the joint venture between GM and Toyota in Freemont, Calif. Hresko holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Kettering University and a master's in Engineering Management from Stanford University. A replacement for Hresko has not yet been named.
