Lincoln Mercury To Relocate Headquarters To Michigan

IRVINE, Calif. - Ford Motor Company announced that Lincoln Mercury is relocating its world headquarters from Irvine, Calif. to Dearborn, Mich. in summer 2003.

"As a part of Ford Motor Company's North American Consumer Business Group, Lincoln Mercury is now closely aligned with Ford Division, sharing back-end functions and many dealers nationally," said Jim O'Connor, Ford Motor Company group vice president for North America Marketing, Sales and Service. "For the long-term benefit of Lincoln Mercury, it makes good business sense to collocate with Ford Division in Dearborn. "

"Lincoln Mercury plays a key role in the product-led transformation of Ford Motor Company," said Hazel. "There's an all-new showroom for Lincoln and a strong stable of Mercury products that will be followed by four new products in the next four years. A move will bring Lincoln Mercury to the heart of Ford Motor Company where we'll tap into synergies to grow both brands."

Ford Motor Company will maintain a strong presence in California, including: The Lincoln Mercury Design Studio, the North American Headquarters of the Premier Automotive Group, Mazda North American Headquarters and the California Regional Sales Office.
