Agreement on volume production of Peugeot and Citroën vehicles in Russia

On 9 June, Christian Streiff, Chairman of PSA Peugeot Citroën, and German Gref, Russia’s minister for economic development and trade, will sign an agreement on volume production of Peugeot and Citroën vehicles in Russia.

The agreement will be signed at the international economic forum in Saint Petersburg. The deal opens up opportunities for the group to expand in the fast-growing Russian market. In 2006 some 1.9 million vehicles were registered, an increase of more than 20% on 2005. In the first four months of 2007, that growth confirmed with registrations up more than 30%.
