Audi A3

 |
Audi is
launching its second-generation A3. With powerful four- and six-cylinder
engines developing up to 177 kW (241 bhp), quattro drive, the new
automatic-shift DSG sports gearbox and highly dynamic running gear, it
offers all the driving pleasure suggested by the sporty lines of its
body. The equipment and trim once again reach the exclusive standard in
the compact class that is also typical of the larger models in the Audi
range.
The new Audi
A3 has every prospect of repeating the unique success of the previous A3
model. The second generation, with its distinct sporting character,
highly advanced technologies and the most dynamic design of any car in
its class, qualifies again for the pole position that went immediately
to the first-generation A3 when it appeared in 1996. |
Audi Nuvolari Concept

|
Walter de’Silva, Head of Design
for the Audi brand group, comments: “The Nuvolari quattro outlines the
direction that Audi’s exterior and interior design will take. We are aware
of our brand’s heritage and will continue this success story in evolutionary
steps.”
The Nuvolari is the vision
of an elegant, powerful Gran Turismo for tomorrow. The Nuvolari quattro
is a synthesis of progressive technology, the road dynamics of a
high-powered GT and typical Audi design architecture. |
BMW

 |
A new sports
car now embodies the very core of the BMW brand in its most original
style: the M3 CSL. Taking up the heritage and legendary success of BMW’s
famous lightweight coupés which gained fame in touring car racing back
in the ‘70s, the engineers of BMW M have once again created a purist,
thoroughbred sports car consistently designed and built to the highest
standard of excellence.
In
recognition of the fact that the weight spiral constantly going up can
only be brought to a halt by radically reducing all moving masses, BMW
M’s engineers, in developing this new car, have turned a thrilling
lightweight concept into reality. For the new BMW M3 CSL is not only
more powerful than the already very dynamic M3, but is also a lot
lighter and therefore even more nimble. |
BMW 7 High Security

|
The BMW 760Li High Security
meets the requirements of the German Federal Crime Office for security
vehicles used by the German Government (B6/B7). It is therefore able to
withstand even attacks with explosives or bullets of the armour-breaking
7.62x54R API calibre often used by terrorist organisations. To meet this
supreme standard, the 760Li High Security has gone through elaborate
firing and other tests conducted by a German bullet and firing
inspection authority.. |
BMW 3 Coupe High Security
|
Security
cars in the B4 category, on the other hand, such as the BMW 330i
Security, offer protection primarily against attempts at theft and
robbery as well as other kinds of criminal action such as carjacking
becoming an increasing risk in some regions. Accordingly, the armour on
the BMW 330i Security is able to withstand calibre .44 magnum revolver
ammunition as well as bullets fired from other handheld weapons.
Vehicles of this type are often purchased for private use, for example
in Latin and South America.
BMW
customers purchasing a Security or High Security car obviously attach
great significance to absolute discretion. Precisely this is why BMWs of
this kind hardly differ at first sight from their regular production
counterparts.

MINI ONE D

|
The 'heart'
of the MINI One D is a 1.4 litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine, developed in
co-operation with Toyota Motor Corporation. During a two-year
development period this engine was specially modified for use in MINI.
The MINI One D engine produces 75bhp and maximum torque of 180Nm at just
2000rpm. This high-performance direct injection diesel engine combines
second generation Common Rail technology with a turbocharger featuring
an intercooler. To save weight the cylinder head and crankcase are made
from aluminium giving the MINI One D an unladen weight of 1,175Kg.
